About Gold Ridge
Gold Ridge Engineering was founded by Troy Wright, PE, to provide experienced, field- driven technical leadership across complex infrastructure and construction programs. With over two decades of experience managing mission-critical, high-risk, and schedule- driven projects, Troy supports contractors, engineers, and owners through preconstruction, construction engineering, commissioning, and specialty operations.
Troy has contributed to the successful delivery of over $4.1 billion in infrastructure and building scopes across California, including seismic retrofits, high-profile bridge and tunnel programs, modular plant installations, and urban demolitions. He has served in key roles as Engineer of Record, Project Manager, Systems Commissioning Lead, and Field Engineer—working with organizations such as Silverado Contractors, Parsons, CC Myers, and Erreca’s Inc.
A licensed civil engineer, Troy is passionate about solving technical problems in the field and guiding multidisciplinary teams through regulatory, logistical, and execution challenges. Whether supporting contractors in the field or augmenting owner-side leadership teams, Troy’s collaborative approach and deep technical fluency make him a trusted partner on demanding scopes.

How we got our name
Raised on a dairy farm in California’s Central Valley, Troy earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from UC Davis. Now based in the East Bay, he enjoys hiking, gardening, and raising his two kids. The company’s name honors the golden hills surrounding his home and his dog Ridge, who’s never far from the trail or the jobsite.
